Our Services
Quality Control Surveys
- Annual Surveys
- Mammography Equipment Evaluation (Acceptance testing after a new installation or major components of a mammography unit are changed or repaired.)
- A schedule for this testing will be prepared and results reviewed with staff as required.
MQSA Technologist Quarterly Review
- Oversee the equipment-related quality assurance practices of the facility.
- MQSA Technologist QC Quarterly Review (daily, weekly, quarterly, and semiannual quality control tests).
Accreditation Assistance
Provide assistance with submitting medical physicist testing reports to the accreditation body.
Aid with medical physicist survey questions during annual FDA/ACR inspections.
Mammography Shielding
- Evaluation and Design
Evaluate the shielding requirements for mammography rooms based on the energy of X-rays, magnitude of intended workload, and distance to adjacent areas with a given occupancy factor. - If the calculations indicate that standard construction is not sufficient to protect the technologist or public, a detailed shielding design would be generated.
Consulting
- Answer technologist’s or doctor’s questions regarding MQSA Medical Physicist-related activities.
